On January 8, on Saturna Island, at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Arthur Ralph, was held a little gathering of merriment in honor of the golden wedding day of Mrs. James Georgeson, of Saturna Island.
The home was charmingly decorated for the occasion and a very happy time was spent. The presents and tokens of esteem received attested to the respect in which the couple are held.
The function being confirmed to their immediate family, those present were Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Georgeson, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Georgeson, Mrs. William Deacon of Mayne: Mr. and Mrs. Ralph, Mr. Peter Garrick, of Mayne, and Mr. G. Rudd, of Victoria, and also a goodly representation of grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Georgeson came to Canada in 1887, and the former served in the Government Lighthouse Service for 33 years, for which service he carries the Long Service Medal.
